Frequently Asked Questions

What should I bring with me to camp?
We encourage everyone to bring a water bottle, a towel if you sweat alot and a willingness to work
hard. Also, be sure to wear athletic shoes and comfortable workout clothing. Please keep in mind that the Emory Speed and Strength Camp is NOT responsible for items lost or stolen while participating in camp activities.

Can I sign up for more than one session of your camp?
YES! It is encouraged and discounts are available for those that do.
The more time you spend in camp the more improvements you will see. Also, know that we can prorate session and mix and match to fit your busy Summer schedule. For example you could attend Week 2 of Session 1 and Week 1 of Session 2. The bottom line: we want your young athlete to learn and excel!

What do we receive at the conclusion of the camp session?
You will receive a workout plan which will incorporate all of the skills and exercises used during camp. This will enable to continue progressing throughout the school year.

Will this camp help athletes in all sports?
This camp is specifically designed to help improve an athlete's speed,
strength, agility, flexibility and power. During the camp you will see a
tremendous benefit of this training regardless of the sport you participate in.

Are discounts available for your camp?
Yes. We offer discounts to teams, siblings and groups. We want everyone to
be able to experience college level coaching so that they may excel at
his/her sport.

How are the 2 hours of camp broken up?
Each day we spend the first hour on the track performing linear speed drills, agility / change of direction drills, medicine ball / core exercises, plyometric / explosion drills as well as flexibility training. The second hour of camp is spent in the weight room working on increasing strength and power utilizing free weight exercises, Olympic weightlifting skills and body weight strength exercises .

Where do I pick up my athlete at the conclusion of camp?
Pick-up and drop off are both in the front turn around of the Woodruff PE Center.
